It is disturbing to know that recently our UMNO-led Barisan National government has decided to privatise the name, Allah, to be used solely by Muslims only. In Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia and many languages, Allah is used as the name of God, be it in Islam or Christianity. This is an important topic for us here in Malaysia because when we preach to Christians in Bahasa Malaysia, we also use the term Allah for God. Tuhan on the other hand means Lord in Bahasa Malaysia.
